CCS Healthcare acquired by Finnish Kiilto

On March 1, 2019, the owner of CCS Healthcare, Segulah IV L.P., and minority shareholders signed an agreement to divest CCS Healthcare Holding AB to Kiilto. The transaction creates a Nordic market leader for hygiene and personal care products for the professional B2B market.

Since Segulah IV L.P.’s acquisition of CCS Healthcare in 2011 the company has completed a number of acquisitions and divestitures. The most recent transaction was finalized in January 2019 with the divestiture of the cosmetic brands to Trimb Healthcare and the manufacturing site in Borlänge to Svenska Krämfabriken. The current transaction with Kiilto concludes Segulah’s engagement in CCS Healthcare and the company enters a new development cycle.

Says CCS Healthcare CEO Dario Aganovic, ”Through the divestiture of our cosmetics business we have streamlined our business towards professional hygiene and personal care products under the brands of DAX, Antibac and Plum with a stable market leading position in Scandinavia. Becoming part of Kiilto with its leading position in Finland and the Baltics we have created a Nordic market leader with an attractive customer offering, strong operational capability and long-term ownership, which gives us a unique foundation/platform for future growth.”

Says KiiltoClean Group CEO Kari Laakso, “The customer is king when we integrate our operations. We are able to offer a broader range of cleanliness and hygiene solutions to CCS Healthcare’s current customers. Strong product brands nicely supplement locally available selections. The customers are the biggest winners of this acquisition.”
